Mary Wallstonecraft applied the liberal human rights doctrine to women. Mary Wollstonecraft said "Mind has no sex; therefore human rights can not be determined by gender". Woman rights wer mostly ignored by other philosophers untill her time.
Mary Wollstonecraft defended women's personla and economic independence. She was called as a "hyena in petticoats" and "philosophising serpent" by the reacting people. Her "Vindication of the Rights of Woman" is seen as a feminist deklaration. Wollstonecraft defended the personal and religious liberties of the French Revolution. She died in childbirth when she was 38.
