HERAKLITOS
Heraklitus who was born in Ephesus as a child of an aristocratical family, was a man of strong and independent philosophical spirit. Heraklitus focused on the internal rhythm of nature. He was the philosopher of the eternal change; he said that the universe was in a state of continuous formation, change and flow. Everything was in motion and in the infinite world which does not have a beginning, compositon of opposites sustained everything. Heraklitos said "The path up and down is one and the same". He said change was being born out of the colliding realities. Heraklitus was the man who first put forward the Dialectical view in todays meaning. Herakllitus accepted only one material source of the natural substances, the fire. Most of his intuitions are accepted as the foretellers of the natural sciences. Direct or indirecet effects of most of them have been seen throughout history.
